This policy explains what personal data we collect through our website, petl.ai, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. petl.ai is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS] (“we”, “us”).

We process personal data in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it.

What we collect

When you contact us. If you use the form on our contact page, we collect your name, work email, company (if you give it) and your message. If you email us or message us on WhatsApp, we receive whatever you send, along with your email address or phone number.

When you book a call. Bookings are handled by Calendly. Calendly collects your name, email and any answers you give, and sends us a copy so we can hold the call. The call itself runs on Google Meet.

When you browse the site. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to keep the site running and secure. If we turn on analytics, we use a privacy-friendly service that does not use advertising cookies or build profiles of you.

We do not ask for, and ask you not to send, sensitive personal data such as financial account details or health information through the site.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry and to arrange and hold calls you book with us.
To prepare a proposal if you ask for one.
To keep the site working, secure and free of spam.

We rely on your consent when you send us your details, and on our legitimate use of data to keep the site secure. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:

Vercel, which hosts the website.
Resend, which delivers contact-form messages to our inbox.
Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that form submissions come from people, not bots.
Calendly and Google, for booking and holding calls.
Spacemail, which hosts our email.

Some of these providers store data outside India. We only use providers that protect data to a standard at least as strong as this policy. We may also disclose data if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and related emails for as long as we are in conversation with you, and for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you become a client, in which case we keep what our contract and the law require. You can ask us to delete your data sooner.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
correct or update it;
delete it;
stop using it, where you gave consent.

To do any of these, email hello@petl.ai. We will respond within a reasonable time and in any case within the time the law requires.

Grievance officer

If you have a concern about how we handle your data, contact our grievance officer: Kapil Sahu, kapil@petl.ai. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

This site is meant for businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
